Hydraulic Installation Clamp HVZ and HVZ-uni
Both types are universal and can be used for all types of paver units available on the market, in combination with various carrier machines such as VM 203 (1.1) and VM 204 (1.2), hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, forklifts, telehandlers, and special machines.
Standard specifications for HVZ and HVZ-uni:
• Universally adjustable clamp opening on a steel and polyamide guide that requires no maintenance.
• Adjustable side grip for precise configuration of the installation pattern (forming device).
• Height-adjustable stops for setting the gripping depth based on different thicknesses of pavers.
• Suspension with two-position springs to mitigate the balance caused by the machine’s movement.
• Additional chain for diagonal clamp movement, allowing easy positioning and more precise installation of pavers.
• Manually operated rotating device with position locking after 90°.
• Hydraulic pressure regulation valve to protect components against excessive stress.
• Oil pressure gauge.
• Independent steel jaws ensure a firm grip on pavers when transporting large sets of pavers. The length of the steel jaw is variable, up to approximately 1,350 mm.
• Handles for optimal guidance of the clamps by operators. Handles are easy to dismantle to allow access to the machine in narrow spaces.
Only for HVZ type:
• Independent hydraulic actuation system for main and side jaws when the carrier machine has a single hydraulic circuit.
• The hydraulic system allows optimal movement:
1. Eliminates diagonal gaps through side jaws L.
2. Ensures a secure grip of the unit through the width of the main jaws W.
3. Opens side jaws before the actual paver installation action, allowing the placement of pavers on an already paved surface.
4. Main jaws open to lay the pavers on the paved surface.
Hydraulic Installation Clamp HVZ-uni
HVZ-uni is the result of the consistent development of the HVZ model, which has proven its viability through thousands of units produced. Even more universal in use, with a more robust and easily adjustable design, this device incorporates two decades of experience in mechanical paver installation. It can be used together with paving machines VM 203 and VM 204, as well as other carrier machines with two hydraulic circuits for clamp actuation. All the advantages of HVZ are incorporated into HVZ-uni.
Convenient design of HVZ-uni/HVZ standard:
• Simplified configuration of the main and side clamp opening through scale indicators, without the need for additional tools.
• Side gripping arms fold completely upward to allow paver installation alongside walls without leaving gaps.
• The strong side clamp ensures easy repositioning of pavers in the installation sequence.
• Quick and easy adjustment of the support wheel’s gripping depth and height without additional tools.
• Patented ADV pushing technology guarantees paver installation according to standards: during the installation process, pavers separate by approximately 0.5 – 1 mm (in addition to the spacer thickness). This gap does not need to be eliminated by tapping with a mallet! As the pavers cannot lift during the installation process, time-consuming readjustments are avoided.
• The ADV pushing device* is a standard feature equipped with HVZ-uni.
ADV Pushing Device:
When pavers are installed on the paved surface without ADV, they often lift when the clamp is opened.
• The ADV device automatically presses the pavers onto the installation surface when the clamp is opened, preventing their lifting.
Advantage: Saves a lot of time because there is no need to come back to reposition the pavers by tapping with a mallet, and a much more uniform pattern is achieved.
