General Description

The Kohler K9 generator set is a diesel-powered unit produced in France, capable of generating 8.9 kVA in emergency mode and 8.1 kVA in continuous mode, operating at a frequency of 50 Hz and a speed of 1500 rpm. The supplied voltage is 400 / 230 V.

Powertrain

The generator is equipped with a KOHLER KDI engine with a displacement of 1.03 liters, providing a maximum power of 8.5 kW:

Alternator

The generator set features a direct-coupled Kohler alternator, self-excited without brushes, insulation class H, protection degree IP 23, with 3 phases and 4 poles.

Constructive Elements

The generator comes with a 50-liter tank integrated under the chassis, electronic speed regulator, pre-heating system for the cooling liquid (for easy starting in cold seasons), 12V starting system, rectifier for battery charging when the generator is not operating, alternator for charging the battery during engine operation, and vibration dampers placed between the chassis and the motor-alternator assembly.

APM303 Digital Controller

The control panel is user-friendly, even for unskilled personnel, designed to provide extensive details about the generator’s operation. The controller incorporates numerous measuring instruments for generator operation, signaling devices for faults and more, control keys, and indicators for various warning messages and proper functioning of the entire assembly.

Soundproof Canopy

The soundproof canopy is constructed from sturdy elements, painted to the highest standards. The canopy is equipped with doors that allow easy access to the generator components for quick and easy interventions. The soundproofing capacity of the canopy is impressive, reducing the noise level to 67 dB at 1 meter and 54 dB at 7 meters.
