Kohler T1540 Diesel Generator – Overview

Grup Electrogen Kohler T1540, diesel, manufactured in France, with powers of 1540 kVA in emergency mode and 1400 kVA in continuous mode, at a frequency of 50 Hz and a speed of 1500 rpm. Supplied voltage: 400 / 230V.

Engine

The generator is equipped with a 49.03-liter MITSUBISHI engine, with a maximum power of 1315 kW:

Alternator

The generator is equipped with a Kohler alternator with direct coupling, self-excited without brushes, insulation class H, protection degree IP 23, with 3 phases / 4 poles.

Constructive Elements

The generator is equipped with a 1035-liter tank integrated under the chassis, electronic speed regulator, preheating system for the cooling liquid (for easy starting in cold seasons), 12V starting system, rectifier for charging the battery when the generator is not running, alternator for charging the battery during engine operation, and vibration dampers placed between the chassis and the motor-alternator assembly.

APM403 Digital Controller

The control panel is user-friendly, even for unskilled personnel, designed to provide a wealth of details about the generator’s operation. The controller incorporates dozens of instruments for measuring the generator’s operation, signaling devices for faults and more, command buttons, and indicators for various warning messages and proper functioning of the entire assembly.

Soundproof canopy

The soundproof hood is built from resistant elements, painted to the highest standards. The hood is equipped with doors that allow easy access to the generator components for quick and easy interventions. The soundproofing capacity of the hood is impressive, reducing the noise level to 89 dB at 1 meter and 80 dB at 7 meters.
