Romania takes a significant step in modernizing its public IT infrastructure with the completion of the first TIER III-certified data center in the public sector, located in Sibiu. This remarkable project was designed and implemented by Best Tools Company, in collaboration with Marctel SIT, and aligns with the most rigorous international standards. The TIER III certification was awarded by the globally recognized Uptime Institute, known for evaluating and certifying data centers.

The data center features state-of-the-art infrastructure, integrating critical redundancy solutions for power supply and climate control. The systems include Kohler Energy generators (now branded as Rehlko), along with redundant UPS systems and electrical panels to protect IT equipment from interruptions.

A standout feature of the data center is its ability to perform infrastructure maintenance without affecting the operation of critical equipment. This capability is fundamental to achieving the TIER III certification.

The project implemented by Best Tools Company successfully met compliance requirements in both the design phase and operational infrastructure phase. These certifications reflect adherence to the strict standards imposed by Uptime Institute, ensuring uninterrupted functionality and resilience to maintenance interruptions.

The project, delivered by Best Tools Company, places Romania on the map of countries adopting advanced technological solutions to modernize public IT infrastructure. The TIER III Data Center in Sibiu stands as a testament to local expertise and a commitment to performance and reliability.
